The 7th Beatitude

“Blessed are the peacemakers: they shall be recognized as children of God.” – Mt. 5:9

Dear Reader,

Peace be with you!

Peace comes when we reject sin and follow God.

My friend, Christine, said, “If we want to be peacemakers, we need to have peace within oneself (inner peace) first. Pray and ask God to know His will. The more aligned we are with God’s plan, the more peace we will have. If the situation gets tough, pray. If it gets tougher, pray more. If gets impossibly tough, we come and receive God through the Holy Eucharist. We conform to God’s will.”

If we wish for world peace, there must be peace within nations first. If we want to live in a peaceful country, we must have peaceful communities first. Likewise, families in each communities must have peace inside their homes, too. But for a family to be peaceful, there must be peace in the hearts of each member of the family.

Peace must begin within ourselves by rejecting sin and finding inner peace. And then, we must be at peace with God by living in accordance to His will. Finally, we can be at peace with another by communicating with respect.

As peacemakers, we shall be children of God, the source and the King of Peace.
