“Work is part of God’s loving plan.” -Pope Francis
Praised be Jesus and Mary!
In Pope Francis’ homily during the feast of St. Joseph the Worker, he said, “Work is fundamental to the dignity of a person. Work, to use an image, anoints us with dignity, fills us with dignity, makes us like God who has worked and still works, who always acts (cf. Jn 5:17); it gives us the ability to maintain ourselves and our family, and to contribute to the growth of our nation.”
The Pope encouraged the unemployed due to poor economy, especially the youth, not to lose hope. He explained that even St. Joseph also had difficulties, but never lost his faith and was able to overcome them in the certainty that God never abandons us. Pope Francis said, “Do not fear commitment or sacrifice. Keep hope alive, because there is always a light on the horizon.”
May God continue to bless those who are struggling with work, and grant us the grace to continue to be faithful and persevering. May we be reminded that every joy and pain that happens in life is God’s way of preparing us to accomplish our mission in life. Moreover, God will always be with us.
Sincerely doing my best,
