“I have not failed. I’ve just found 10,000 ways that won’t work.” -Thomas A. Edison
Praised be Jesus and Mary (now and forever)!
There is no going away with it. In life, we face plenty of failures and rejections.
When I started my career in the insurance industry, I talked to countless people (20 people? 40? 50?…A lot!!) before I closed my first-ever sale.
That is usually the case when we really want to make something happen. We usually need to try more than once.
Let us talk about The Law of the Seed. An apple tree bears five hundred apples with ten seeds each. That’s a lot of seeds! Why would we need so many seeds to grow just a few more trees? Because most seeds never grow.
This is a law of nature.
To sell an insurance policy, how many people do we need to talk to?
To choose a good house to buy or rent, how many houses must we first view?
To find a job, how many interviews must we attend?
To get a job interview, how many applications must we send?
To meet one true friend, how many acquaintances must we meet?
Do not worry.
“Successful people fail more often. They plant more seeds.” -Andrew Matthews
