Reservation Bond

Dear Reader,

Praised be Jesus and Mary!

A reservation bond of P20,000 in cash must be settled within 10 working days from the receipt of Letter of Acceptance by email. The amount shall be deductible to the tuition and matriculation fees upon enrollment.

My parents were at full support. Last Thursday, we all left home at 12 noon and reached DLSHSI at 3:30pm.

As mentioned in the email, we picked up the signed, original acceptance letter from Ms. Arlene at the Dean’s Office. She asked me to sign a Sworn Statement to declare that I have never enrolled in any other medical school.

We were instructed to go to PJ of Admissions Office to arrange the reservation procedure. PJ congratulated me for my acceptance. He checked my admissions folder, gave me the receipt for application which I paid before via BPI Bank, and a small slip of paper to be presented to the Cashier. He asked me to sign an agreement form saying that the reservation fee is non-refundable. Parent’s signature is also required.

The Cashier was located beside the entrance of the Emergency Room. Note that the Accounting Office do not accept check and credit card payments for this transaction.

We went back to the Admissions Office and presented PJ the receipt. He scheduled me for physical check-up on April 2, Wednesday. Measurements for uniform would be taken on the same day. (kyaaaaaa! I am very excited about the uniform!!)

We visited Dormbuilt (the dorm inside DLSHSI), but it was full with a long waiting list. Likewise, almost all rooms in Villa Nicasia and nearby dorms were full until end of March. It was very hot and tiring, and it seemed pointless. We decided to search more thoroughly for a room in April after the graduating students vacate their rooms.

At the end of the day, we were all tired and sweaty. I felt very happy and grateful towards my parents. : )

Lastly, I remind myself of my reasons and motivations for going through all these, and pray the very beautiful Lasallian prayer.

“I will continue, oh my God, to do all my actions for the love of You.”

Sincerely,
Kristine G. Veneracion

When you exit from the building, turn left and you’ll find the walkway in the photo below.
