Canon PIXMA iP2770 Inkjet Printer

Dear friends,

Praised be Jesus and Mary!

I am taking a break from studying Biochemistry and that is why I’m blogging. Yay!

I would like to share with you my latest acquisition, Canon PIXMA iP2770 Inkjet Printer! 🙂

Well, there’s a story behind this.

My aunt gave me her extra printer but, unfortunately, HP 900 does not have a driver for Mac OS X. I tried searching all over the internet for drivers and alternatives but I found none. I finally decided to buy a new one.

I heard from too many people that continuous ink system (CIS) is much cheaper than the normal ink cartridges. I researched for a quality printer that can be converted to CIS. The two most popular are the Canon iP2770 (printer only) and Canon mP237 (with scanner, copier, and printer). I decided that I do not need a scanner and copier. 🙂

If you are also studying in De La Salle Health Sciences Institute (DLSHSI), you can go to SM Dasma to purchase a printer. I asked all stores about their price offers.

The best price was at Ink 1 located at the Cyber Zone area. Photo below.

Finally!! Yay!!

Having your own printer with CIS is very convenient for med students. We got a lot of handouts, PowerPoint slides, and transcriptions to print. With the amount of files to print, a quality, heavy-duty printer is a must. Canon is a good brand! 🙂

Look at that! (photo below) I like my new printer. It is not bulky. Very pretty! 🙂

Below is another photo at a different angle to show the continuous ink system which they installed.

To others who are interested with Canon mP237, Ink 1’s price is P4,900 similar with Inkrite’s. If you are choosing that model, it is better to buy from Inkrite as they give longer warranties for the printer and for the CIS device.

That’s all for now. It’s only five minutes to 2:00 am!! I got to go back to studying.
