Praised be Jesus and Mary!
Reading my old diaries and notes often makes me feel embarrassed. But, sometimes like today, it can be inspiring.
I was scanning an old book written by Josiah Go and was reading some of the highlighted parts and the post-it notes when i found this. I couldn’t remember where I got these thoughts/words because it wasn’t from the book, but, many years ago, I wrote:
“What would you dare to dream if you knew you wouldn’t fail? The question is not what you’re good at…or what you dare to be good at? but what you would dare to dream if you knew you wouldn’t fail.
So I decided I want to be successful like my parents; I have to try this…just once. It wasn’t a dream at this point. It was just to get that regret out of my head later on in life. What if…what if i tried it. I realized later that whether you’re good at it or not has nothing to do with it. Being great has nothing to do with it. It’s the willingness to get up. It’s the willingness to put yourself in uncomfortable situation. The willingness is what’s important.”
Today, 2015.10.01, I already know what I dare to dream. I dream to become a doctor who will serve both God and country. And, I want to make my parents proud. Despite the struggles and the sacrifices, I shall continue to persist in my studies. I shall not fear the road ahead. ⭐️
